The Education Digitization Training Class for Lao in 2019 Successfully Concluded

Rednet August 28 (Reporter: Hong Wan) On the afternoon of August 28, The “Education Digitization Training Class for Lao in 2019”, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, PRC and jointly undertaken by Hunan International Business Vocational College and Teewon Digital Media Technology Co., Ltd., was successfully concluded in Changsha. Twenty government officials from the Ministry of Education and Sport, the Ministry of Post, Telecommunications and Communications, and the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Laos participated in the 20-day training program.

This training is the second phase of training for Lao learners organized by Teewon Digital Media, following the “Training Class on Media Promotion and New Media Technology Usage for Lao in 2018”. The first training course in 2018 mobilized the rich resources of the parent company China South Media Group to bring vivid media theory and practice courses, which deeply fit the training theme and the needs of the learners. 43 learners from Laos responded enthusiastically and gained a lot. The second phase of the training focused on digital education which Teewon Digital Media has been deeply studying. The training covered theoretical learning, case studies, field visits, and cultural experience. During the 20-day training, learners immersed themselves in the theoretical training courses brought by the lecturer while experiencing the colorful Chinese culture in their spare time.

As one of the organizers of this training course, Teewon Digital Media had invited experts and scholars from education departments and well-known universities in China to give lectures in order to provide learners with the best quality information and resources. This training was themed with information-based education, and the teaching contents covered information-based education development strategy, China’s  information-based education products, Maker Education, information-based teaching environment design and teaching application innovation, and the application of big data and artificial intelligence in the education industry.

In addition to learning related theoretical courses, the learners also went into enterprises and schools to experience the changes brought by information technology to education and culture. The places they visited included Teewon Digital Media, Teewon Printing, Yuelu Press, Huawei Research Institute in Chengdu, Hunan Educational Television and other units. During the visit to Teewon Digital Media, the leaners experienced the AiClass interactive teaching products in person and gained a more direct and perceptual understanding of the changes brought by information-based education.

Culture experience is also an important part of the course. In order to help the learners better understand Chinese culture and Huxiang culture, the learners have visited Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Dujiangyan irrigation system and other places during the holiday. In addition, the learners also went to Luotan village in Zhangjiajie, to learn about the local education situation and further realize the importance of developing information-based education to promote education equity.
